Terms used in CloudPLAY Softphone desktop documentation.

TermDefinition
Attended transferPuts the caller on hold, lets you speak to the recipient, then connects them. Also called attendant transfer.
Auto answerSoftphone answers incoming calls automatically when this toggle is on.
Blind transferTransfers a call immediately without speaking to the recipient first.
BLFBusy Lamp Field — shows whether a favourited enterprise colleague is available (green) or busy (red).
Caller IDThe name or number shown to the person you call.
CloudPLAY SoftphoneSoftphone app for desktop (Windows / macOS) and mobile.
DNDDo Not Disturb — blocks incoming calls and messages in Softphone.
DTMFTouch-tone sounds sent when you press keys during a call (IVR menus, PINs).
Enterprise / SIP contactsCompany directory contacts synced by your administrator.
ExtensionYour internal phone number within the organisation.
FavouritesStarred contacts for quick dialling; used with BLF for enterprise colleagues.
