Using the App

Sign in, make calls, message colleagues, and troubleshoot CloudPLAY Softphone.

Sign in

  1. Open CloudPLAY Softphone.
  2. Enter the server or use Sign in with company account if SSO is enabled.
  3. Enter your work credentials.
  4. Allow microphone access. Allow notifications so you receive incoming calls when the app is in the background.

Your extension and contacts usually sync within a minute.

Make a call

  1. Tap the Dial pad or choose a contact.
  2. Enter extension or full number (include country code for international).
  3. Tap Call.

Use the speaker, mute, or keypad buttons during the call.

Answer a call

Tap Answer when a notification appears. On mobile, unlock the phone if required.

Missed a call? Check Recents or voicemail.

Transfer or hold

During a call:

  • Hold — pauses the conversation
  • Transfer — send to another extension (blind or attended, depending on app options)
  • Add call — conference another person in

Instant messaging

If chat is enabled:

  1. Open Contacts or Chats.
  2. Select a colleague.
  3. Type your message and send.

Presence icons show if someone is on a call, away, or available.

Voicemail

Open Voicemail in the app or dial your voicemail code. You can also use Voicemail features from your desk phone.

Status and DND

Set your status to Available, Away, or Do not disturb so colleagues know whether to call. Use DND in meetings.

Troubleshooting
